The Pour

We believe in strong scents here at Ember & Wit. We want candles and products that fill whatever rooms in the house we place them in. However, every so often we develop a scent that is so good we do not mind it being on the milder side, while still providing a subtle but inviting scent throw. This candle fits that model quite well. We hope it remains one of our fall classics for years to come. It is the perfect scent to light on a crisp fall day. It is such a clean scent that we decided to add a little contrast with our labels. The darker tone fits what we love about fall. It is the cooler weather and the potential for a cozy day in while we wait for the rain, either with a great book or bingeing our favorite movie series. With an incredible mixture of outdoor fall foliage and subtle eucalyptus, Smells Like Tree Spirit will be a great addition to any candle lover's home.

Safety Instructions

Wick - Always ensure that the wick is trimmed to 1/4”. Whether it is your first burn or your last, it is important for both the quality of burn and safety to ensure that the wick is properly trimmed to the recommended length.

Candle Placement – Always burn your candle on a sturdy, heat-resistant surface or coaster. Keep the burning candle away from low-hanging items that could fall into it. Always keep a burning candle out of reach of pets and children. Keep clear of drafts. Breezes around a candle can cause soot and carbon buildup on the wick, commonly referred to as mushrooming. Always burn your candle within view.

Burn Time – The recommended proper burn time for a scented container candle is between 3-4 hours. You should not burn your candle longer than the recommended timeframe. It is especially important during the first couple of lighting intervals to keep them as close to four hours as possible. This allows the wax pool to reach the edges of the glass. Failure to do so can result in tunneling. A small amount of tunneling can be normal going into the third burn, but it is generally corrected toward the middle of the candle.

When To Stop – Cease burning the candle when it is ¼” from the bottom of the jar.
