The Pour

Out of our current lineup of candles and scents, Zest in Peace has been the hardest to describe. It's not that anything is lacking in the scent, it smells incredible. It's because it has a unique blend of notes that I originally wouldn't have put together if it weren't for my wife. She always has the better nose, so I shouldn't be surprised. My original hesitation stems from my dislike of eating blood oranges. I quickly realized that I might never enjoy the taste, but I can't get enough of the smell. Which is another weird quirk we sometimes find, where the food prepared smells amazing but doesn't match up with our taste buds. Anyway, this blood orange heavy scent has been paired with a subtle blend of cedar, patchouli, and tonka to provide a unique, definitive citrus heavy candle. Regardless of how good it smells, please don't try to eat it.

Safety Instructions

Wick - Always ensure that the wick is trimmed to 1/4”. Whether it is your first burn or your last, it is important for both the quality of burn and safety to ensure that the wick is properly trimmed to the recommended length.

Candle Placement – Always burn your candle on a sturdy, heat-resistant surface or coaster. Keep the burning candle away from low-hanging items that could fall into it. Always keep a burning candle out of reach of pets and children. Keep clear of drafts. Breezes around a candle can cause soot and carbon buildup on the wick, commonly referred to as mushrooming. Always burn your candle within view.

Burn Time – The recommended proper burn time for a scented container candle is between 3-4 hours. You should not burn your candle longer than the recommended timeframe. It is especially important during the first couple of lighting intervals to keep them as close to four hours as possible. This allows the wax pool to reach the edges of the glass. Failure to do so can result in tunneling. A small amount of tunneling can be normal going into the third burn, but it is generally corrected toward the middle of the candle.

When To Stop – Cease burning the candle when it is ¼” from the bottom of the jar.
