The Pour
I don't often get things right the first time. Making candles is no different. Scents and ideas that sound great in theory can make you want to abandon the house as soon as possible. Every once in a while, however, you get one right. We here at Ember & Wit have been fortunate enough to have a couple of our scents fall into this category. However, Teak Me To The Limit has the rare distinction of being the very first candle we ever made, and we haven't changed a thing. To the scent, that is. This smell has followed us through multiple candle jars, colors, and no telling how many different wick sizes, but it has always remained the same. It is both of our founders' favorite scent, and I would not expect it to go anywhere anytime soon. It is the perfect blend of leather and teakwood, with a back note of pipe tobacco. Basically, if we opened a speakeasy in an old library, this is what you would smell. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Safety Instructions
Wick - Always ensure that the wick is trimmed to 1/4”. Whether it is your first burn or your last, it is important for both the quality of burn and safety to ensure that the wick is properly trimmed to the recommended length.
Candle Placement – Always burn your candle on a sturdy, heat-resistant surface or coaster. Keep the burning candle away from low-hanging items that could fall into it. Always keep a burning candle out of reach of pets and children. Keep clear of drafts. Breezes around a candle can cause soot and carbon buildup on the wick, commonly referred to as mushrooming. Always burn your candle within view.
Burn Time – The recommended proper burn time for a scented container candle is between 3-4 hours. You should not burn your candle longer than the recommended timeframe. It is especially important during the first couple of lighting intervals to keep them as close to four hours as possible. This allows the wax pool to reach the edges of the glass. Failure to do so can result in tunneling. A small amount of tunneling can be normal going into the third burn, but it is generally corrected toward the middle of the candle.
When To Stop – Cease burning the candle when it is ¼” from the bottom of the jar.
